بمناسبة الاحتفال السنوي للبيت الزجاجي الخاص ب #أكاديمية_قطر_للقادة، قام قسم العلوم ومكتب العلاقات العامة بتوزيع سلة مصغرة لمنتوجات البيت الأخضر في الأكاديمية والتي تمت زراعتها من قبل الطلاب.

جائزة أخلاقنا
كرّمت صاحبة السّمو الشّيخة موزا بنت ناصرحفظها الله، االتلميذة الهنوف حسن العمادي لفوزها بجائزة "براعم الأخلاق" في نسختها الأولى وذلك لالتزامها بالقيم الأخلاقية وتحلّيها بسمات القيادة والمبادرة حيث شاركت في نشاط "التّجارة مع الله" وقامت بالتّبرع للمؤسسات الخيريّة بالإضافة إلى مشاركتها في يوم تكريم العمّال الذي تنظّمه أكاديمية قطر – الدّوحة كل عام. كما شاركت في الرّسم وهي معصوبة العينين لتخوض تجربة المكفوفين حين زار المدرسة الفنّان الكفيف سارجي مان. و في عام 2019 شاركت الهنوف في مشروع تلوين كرسي الأصدقاء للتعاطف مع زملائها الذين ليس لديهم أصدقاء وقامت بتصميم ملصق كتبت عليه (هنا تبدأ الصداقة).
تهانينا للهنوف، وهنيئًا لكونها مصدر إلهام لنا جميعًا!
Akhlaquna Award
Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser awarded Al Hanouf Al Emadi with the Akhlaquna Junior first cycle award for her commitment to moral values and leadership.
Al Hanouf has participated in many initiatives and activities such as helping the school during the QAD annual event "Workers Appreciation Day". She also took part in the activity "Trade with Allah", where she contributed by donating to the charitable institution. Al Hanouf has painted been blindfolded, to honor of the blind artist (Sarge Mann) who visited the school. In 2019, Al-Hanouf displayed empathy by coloring the “Friends’ Chair” to support peers in making new friends and designed a sticker saying "Here friendship begins".
Congratulations to Al Hanouf for being an outstanding member of our community!

يوم المعلّم في أكاديميّة قطر – الخور
احتفلت أكاديمية قطر – الخور بيوم المعلم العالمي في الخامس من أكتوبر. في هذا العام، قامت الإدارة بالاحتفال بمعلميها من خلال توزيع حقائب قماشية حملت عبارة "المعلمون هم أبطال خارقون متخفون" وهم كذلك! كما احتفل الطلاب مستخدمين طرقهم الخاصة للتعبير عن شكرهم للمعلمين من خلال إرسال رسائل التقدير والامتنان.
QAK’s Teacher’s Day
Qatar Academy Al Khor celebrated International Teacher’s Day on October 5th. QAK had a special giveaway this year for all teachers in school which was a canvas tote bag with a quote that says ‘Teachers are Superheroes in disguise’ which indeed they are. For the rest of the week students celebrated their teachers in their own way by sharing messages of appreciation and gratitude.

طلاب أكاديمية قطر السدرة للمناظرات يعملون على انشاء وحدة مخصصة لإبداء الرأي وتمثيل الآخرين والاحتجاج
يركز طلاب المناظرات حاليًا على إنشاء وحدتهم الخاصة بشؤون التعبير وإبداء الرأي وتمثيل الآخرين أو الإنابة عنهم بالإضافة الى كل ما هو متعلق بالاحتجاج، وكل ذلك العمل مبني على ما هو جاري حاليًا.
بدأ طلاب المناظرات في وحدة التناص الخاصة بهم من خلال فحص المقالات المصورة والشعر ومقالات الرأي وغيرها من الأعمال غير الأدبية من خلال دراسة الآراء ومسؤولية الإنابة عن الآخرين ونقل احتجاجاتهم.
سيقوم الطلاب بربط أفكارهم بما هو واقع بين النصوص ومن ثم مناقشة ذلك مع رنا كزكاز (صانعة أفلام) والدكتور هاريس، مؤلف ومستشار.
سيعمل الطلاب أيضًا في مناظرات قطر على تحليل الحراك الاجتماعي ووضع الأحداث الجارية في سياقها.
كما تواصل طلابنا مع طلاب أكاديمية قطر-الخور ورابطة الطلاب السود بجامعة جورد تاون من خلال عدد من المحادثات غير المتزامنة.
QAS DP Students Working on their unit of Voice, Agency and Protest
Our DP Students are currently focusing on their unit of - Voice, Agency and Protest all based on current affairs.
DP Lang and Lit Students at QAS started their intertextuality unit by examining photo essays, poetry, op-eds and other non-literary work through the lense of voice and agency and protest.
The students will connect their ideas between texts and discuss with Rana Kazkaz (film maker) and Dr. Harris, an author and a consultant.
Students also will work with Qatar Debates to analyze social movements and to contextualize current events.
Students also have connected with QAK and Georgetown BSA students through asynchronous conversations.

يوم الرياضيات العالمي: 15 أكتوبر 2020
يحتفل الآلاف من الطلاب كل عام في جميع أنحاء العالم باليوم العالمي لمادة الرياضيات من خلال العديد من الأنشطة المختلفة. استكشف طلاب أكاديمية قطر - مشيرب هذا العام مادة الرياضيات بعمق ووسعوا تفكيرهم في هذه المادة الغنية من خلال مهام وألعاب في الرياضيات بصرية وتفاعلية.
نظم المعلمون أنشطة للطلاب مستوحاة من السيدة/ جو بولار وفريقها التدريسي في جامعة ستانفورد والذي ألّف العديد من الموارد الغنية على الإنترنت لتعليم مادة الرياضيات: YouCubed. تم اختيار جميع الأنشطة التي فيها تحدي للتفكير النقدي، حيث منحت الطلاب الفرصة لاستكشاف الجوانب المرحة، المرئية، والإبداعية لمادة الرياضيات وحل المسائل الرياضية الصعبة. كما استخدم الطلاب معرفتهم الحسابية عندما اكتشفوا الحلول للمهام الرياضية الغنية والتفاعلية.
World Maths Day: October 15, 2020
Every year, thousands of students worldwide celebrate World Math Day with many kinds of mathematics activities. This year at QAM students explored mathematics and expanded their mathematical thinking through open, visual math tasks and games.
Teachers at QAM framed activities for the students inspired by Jo Boaler and her teaching team at Stanford University which has created a rich online resource for learning mathematics: YouCubed. The tasks selected all challenge critical thinking, but also gave students the opportunity to explore the playful, visual and creative aspects of mathematics and mathematical problem solving. Students utilized their computational knowledge as they discovered answers to rich, open tasks.

أكاديمية العوسج تحتفل باليوم العالمي للصحة النفسية.
عبر طلاب الأكاديمية والموظفون عن شعورهم حول أهمية الصحة النفسية ودورها في تطوير الفرد والمجتمع. حيث قاموا بتصميم بطاقات جذابة تعبر عن عناصر متعددة للعناية بالصحة النفسية وتؤكد على الإيجابية. كما قام الجميع بارتداء الملابس الخضراء لدعم هذه الفعالية.
الاحتفال باليوم العالمي للمعلم.
قامت ادارة العوسج بتوزيع بعض الهدايا والحلويات لجميع المدرسين تقديرا لجهودهم في هذه الفترة.
ضمن نشاط علمي خاص، قام طلاب أكاديمية العوسج بتشريح نماذج للدماغ البشري مصنوعة من الطين و شاركونا ما لديهم من معرفة عن الدماغ بالإضافة إلى ما يرغبون في معرفته من خلال الرسومات والكتابة والمناقشات الجماعية. كان هذا النشاط بمثابة تجربة عملية رائعة لإثارة فضول طلابنا.
Awsaj celebrates World Mental Health Day
Celebrating the World Mental Health Day, Students and staff expressed their feelings about the importance of mental health and its role in the development of the individual and society. They designed attractive cards that express multiple elements of mental health care and emphasize positivity. Everyone wore green clothes to support the event.
Celebrating the International Day of Teachers. Awsaj administration distributed Treats to all teachers in appreciation of their efforts in this period.
Brain wave unit Activity. Students dissected human brain models made of clay and shared their knowledge of what they know about the brain as well as what they would like to know through drawings, writing and group discussions. This activity served as a great hands-on experience to ignite our students’ curiosity.

Leadership Activities Day for Grade 7 cadets
Grade 7 cadets at #QLA during the leadership activities day, which included many trainings such as drill classes, shooting, combat arts such as (Judo & Jujutsu) and gaining the teamwork skills as a team.

طالبه أكاديمية قطر للموسيقى تفوز بالمركز الثاني في مسابقة "ميوز العالمية للموسيقى"
فازت الطالبة زانق زاو يو إحدى طالبات أكاديمية قطر للموسيقى في الثامنة من عمرها بالمركز الثاني للبيانو في مسابقة "ميوز العالمية للموسيقى" لعام 2020، حيث شاركت زانق بأداء جميل لمعزوفة كارل تشيرني (599) رقم 51
بدأت زانق بعزف البيانو منذ عمر السادسة حين التحقت بأكاديمية قطر للموسيقى تحت اشراف مدرستها "نا يونق كيم"، وهي مستمرة بتميزها كطالبة مجتهدة وعازفة بيانو واعدة
QMA Student Wins Second Place at MUSE International Music Competition
8-year-old QMA Piano Student, Zhang Zhuo Yue, won 2nd place for Piano at the MUSE International Music Competition 2020. Her submission to the competition included a beautiful performance of C. Czerny’s Op. 599 No.51.
Zhang Zhuo Yue started playing the piano at 6 years-old and began at Qatar Music Academy under the guidance of her teacher Na Young Kim. Since then, she has been a promising student at Qatar Music Academy and an even more promising Pianist!

التكيف مع نموذج التعلم المدمج
يعمل الطلاب في أكاديمية ريناد على إكمال حصصهم وواجباتهم الدراسية شخصيا وعبر الإنترنت. تمكن الطلاب من الالتحاق بالفصول الدراسية الإفتراضية والدروس المخصصة بناء على أهداف التعلم الفردية لهذا العام الدراسي، وقد سمح ذلك بتعميم المهارات وتكييفها في بيئة المنزل و الأكاديمية. كما تمكن الطلاب في أكاديمية ريناد من إحراز تقدم مستمر مع الالتزام بجميع تدابير السلامة المطبقة في مبنى الأكاديمية.
Adapting to the Blended Learning Model
Students at Renad Academy have been working hard completing sessions and assignments in person and online. Students access the virtual classroom and personalized lessons based on their individual learning goals for the school year. This has allowed for skills to be generalized and adapted in both the home and school environment. At Renad Academy, students have been able to make continued progress while adhering to all safety measures put into place across the school.

أهداف الطفل الشخصية وخطته التعلُّمية
في أكاديميتي نؤمن بأن لكل طفل احتياجات واهتمامات ونقاط قوة تختلف عن الآخر، وعند تلبية هذه الاحتياجات والاهتمامات، تتاح له فرص النجاح وفق طريقته الخاصة والفريدة.
من خلال طرح أسئلة على الطفل نحثه على التعمق أكثر وهذا بدوره يحفزه على الاستكشاف، ويصبح أكثر وعياً بنفسه. أثناء اجتماعات تحديد الأهداف مع الطفل وأولياء الأمور، نستمع باهتمام للطفل وهو يعبر عن اهتماماته وبدورنا ندعمه لاستكشاف الطرق التي يمكنه من خلالها تحدي نفسه أكثر.
السؤال المعتاد الذي نطرحه على الطفل هو "ما الذي تود أن تتعلم عنه؟" وغالباً يتفاجأ الآباء عند سماع طفلهم يتحدث عن تطلعاته وأهدافه. نقوم بتدوين إجابات الطفل وذلك لدمج أهدافه في رحلة تعلمه وخطته الشخصية .
Children’s Personal Goals and Learning Journey
At Academyati we believe that each child has different needs, interests and strengths that when fulfilled, allows them to be successful in their own way.
Through asking our children questions we provoke them to dig deeper whilst nudging them to explore and become more self-aware. During our goal-setting meetings with the child and their parents, we listen attentively as the child articulates their interests and we nudge them to explore ways in which they can push themselves further.
A typical question we would ask a child is, “what would you like to learn about?”
Often the parents are surprised to hear their own child speaking about their aspirations and goals.
We take note of their answers and incorporate them into the child’s learning journey and personal plan.

مشاركة الكوكب
تقدم الوحدة البحثية الخاصة بطلاب الصف الثاني حاليًا فعالية "مشاركة الكوكب". وفيها يستفسر الطلاب عن موارد الأرض و يكتسبون معارف جديدة وكثيرة حولها من حيث: الشكل ، المنظور والمسؤولية.
عندما نركز على الشكل، فإننا نتعمق أكثر في التعرف على الاختلافات بين الموارد التي خلقها لنا الله سبحانه وتعالى والمواد التي هي من صنع الإنسان. بينما يناقش الطلاب في المنظور مختلف الطرق التي يمكننا بها الاهتمام بهذه الموارد واستخدامها بحكمة، ويحدد فيها الطلاب الاختلافات بين الحاجة والضرورة، ثم استدامة الأرض.
أما عند التركيز على المسؤولية، يقوم الطلاب بتجميع قائمة من الأسئلة التي توجه تفكيرهم إلى مشكلة يرونها في قطر، والعمل مع زملائهم في الصف لإيجاد حل عالمي لها. يستمر الطلاب في ربط مكونات هذه الوحدة بالمعلومات السابقة التي تحدثنا عنها والتي كانت تحت عنوان "من نحن".
Sharing the Planet
The current unit of inquiry in Grade 2 is Sharing the Planet. Students are inquiring into and gaining knowledge about earth’s resources. There are several ways students are discovering new things about this unit: form, perspective and responsibility. When we focus on form, we are going deeper into learning about the differences between man-made resources and Allah-made resources. The students will discuss the different ways we can also take care of those resources and use them wisely. When we focus on perspective, students will determine the differences between a need and a want and earth’s sustainabilities. When we focus on responsibility, students will compile a list of questions that will guide them to a problem they are seeing in Qatar, and working with their classmates, students will come up with a world-wide solution. Students will continue to connect this unit to our previous learning of Who We Are.

خدمات دعم النطق واللغة عبر الإنترنت
منذ بداية جائحة كورونا المستجد، أعاد أخصائيو اضطرابات النطق واللغة التفكير في كيفية تقديمهم لخدمات الدعم لطلابهم. شكل التأقلم والتوجه للدعم عبر الإنترنت تحديا في البداية. ومع ذلك، فقد توصل فريقنا الإبداعي إلى مجموعة متنوعة من الأفكار لدعم المعلمين وأولياء الأمور والطلاب. يقدم أخصائيو النطق واللغة الدعم عبر الإنترنت للطلاب الذين يتعلمون من المنزل حيث تحول التركيز لدعم السنوات المبكرة إلى الفصل بأكمله، وذلك للاستجابة لحاجات وخبرات الأطفال الصغار أثناء الجائحة. إن العمل التعاوني مع أولياء الأمور والمعلمين أمر بالغ الأهمية خلال هذا الوقت.
Speech and language services in an online setting
With the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, therapists in schools have had to rethink the way in which services are provided to students with specific language and learning needs. Adapting to online support was challenging initially. However, our creative team has come up with a variety of ideas to support teachers, parents and students. Therapists are providing online therapy to students who are learning from home. Early year’s intervention has shifted focus to the entire class to accommodate the limited experiences of young children during the pandemic. Working collaboratively with parents and teachers is crucial during this time.

منتدى التعليم والتعلم 2020
استضاف منتدى التعليم والتعلم 2020 يوم الأحد الموافق 11 أكتوبر، 1600 مشارك افتراضي من جميع أنحاء قطر؛ لمناقشة موضوع "التعليم المرن"؛ حيث قام المعلمون بفحص الحلول المبتكرة في التعليم، والتفكير بشكل تعاوني في السؤال الآتي:
كيف تجعل التعلم مستداما بعد أزمة كوفيد-19؟
شارك المعلمون طوال اليوم في مناقشات تعاونية، وتأملية متمركزة حول ستة محاور، واستمعوا إلى الكلمة الرئيسة للبروفيسور (ملفين إينسكو)، فسلط الضوء فيها حول: الكيفية التي ينبغي أن يكون عليها الإدماج، والإنصاف في التعليم سمة مركزية في أي نظام تعليمي على وجه الخصوص في الأوقات الصعبة كالتي نمر بها الآن. سوف يشارك المعلمون في متابعة منتدى التعليم والتعلم 2020 - التعمق في المنتدى في 29 نوفمبر.
Teaching and Learning Forum 2020
On 11 October, the Teaching & Learning Forum 2020 hosted approximately 1600 virtual attendees from across Qatar to address the theme Education for Resilience. Educators examined innovative solutions in education and collaboratively unpacked the question:
How do we make learning sustainable post COVID-19?
Throughout the day educators participated in collaborative discussions and provided recommendations around six discussed themes. They listened to the keynote Professor Melvin Ainscow, who highlighted how inclusion and equity in education needs to be a central feature in any education system particularly, in difficult times such as we are experiencing now. Educators will engage in a follow up Deep Dive on 29 November.
